Bernard Leach was a studio potter and art teacher. He is one of the foremost British potters. He influenced the contemporary ceramics design. He was born in Japan but traveled to England. He studied at Slate art school. The square bottle is a work he created often in many colors and designs. I chose this pieces because it is different than a traditional bottle. I like the unique square shape and the contrast of the orange against the muted colors. I also like how he took something basic and changed its form slightly.
