Bernard Leach
Bernard Leach was one of the modern British potters who influenced contemporary ceramic design. He took up pottery in 1911 and basically enslaved himself to the sixth generation of Japanese potters working in the tradition of Ogata Kenzan and was noted maker of raku ware. He is known as the "Father of British Studio Pottery" Above is an image of one of Bernards pieces, it is called "Fruit Bowl" done in 1950. He used reduced stoneware to create this piece.
