Robert Arneson was an American sculptor and ceramic professor. He used to be a cartoonist for a local newspaper. However, now he is considered the father of the ceramic Funk Movement with his very animated and expressive style. In addition, Arneson focused on self portraits and an autobiography using clay, which I found interesting. I choose this particular sculpture because it was probably one of the few that I did not find completely disturbing. I liked the details of the work in the sculpture and the fact that it resembles a dog.
